Upload your PDF

Choose a PDF from your own computer and upload it.

There is no limit to the number of pages in the PDF. We've also given you enough free storage to store all but the very largest of PDFs. Though if you do need more storage, please get in touch.

Download the XLIFF

We will instantly extract the text from your PDF and convert it into XLIFF.

XLIFF is an industry standard for translating all kinds of documents and is supported by leading tools such as SDL Trados Studio, Phrase TMS, MemoQ, DejaVu and others.

The XLIFF contains an original and translated pair for each paragraph in the PDF. When you initially download it, the translated side will be empty, ready for you to fill-in.

Translate

Press if you just want a quick translation for preview purposes. This gives you the option to do a pseudo translation or to use Microsoft Translation services (machine translation).

For a proper translation, open the XLIFF file with your own CAT software and translate. All computer aided translation tools support the XLIFF format.

When you want to check on your progress, get your CAT tool to generate a new XLIFF file.

Upload your work

Upload your newly translated XLIFF. It contains the name of the PDF from which it was extracted so the we can pair them up correctly.

Once uploaded the system will check the translation and report any font problems. You will also be able to download a preview of the translation.

Fix font problems

While generating the PDF preview we check for potential font problems with your translation.

PDF fonts are a complex business but we protect you from all the gory details, enabling you to quickly and easily fix any problems that arise without getting your hands dirty.

Fix the issues by choosing alternative fonts from our selection of free-to-use fonts covering most styles. If you really need a specific font for a translation, you can upload and use it instead. It will only be accessible by you for your translation.

Download the final PDF

Download the finished, translated PDF: no watermarks, no editing restrictions.

Use a good PDF editor such as Infix PDF Editor to make any final adjustments to the PDF. These may include adjusting the position of hyperlinks, text breaks or adding security.
